How this works

We look up product details using AI assistance, fetch live spot prices for the metal, and then compute your premium.

For bullion (bars, rounds, coins):

  • Spot prices come from the latest metal feed in your chosen currency.
  • Melt value = product melt weight × current spot price.
  • Premium = (price you pay + tax + shipping) − melt value.

For graded/numismatic coins:

  • We automatically match your coin to the PCGS price guide database.
  • Premium is calculated against the PCGS guide value instead of melt.
  • Include the grade (e.g., MS65, PR70) in your search for best results.
Disclaimer

This calculator is for quick estimates only. Prices and availability can change rapidly.

Double check the melt weight of the product and consider national / regional taxes.

FAQ

How is melt value calculated?

Melt value is the amount of the primary precious metal in the product multiplied by your unit count and the current spot price of the primary metal.

What is PCGS pricing and when is it used?

For graded or numismatic coins, we automatically look up the PCGS price guide value. When a match is found, your premium is calculated against the collector value rather than melt value. Include the grade (e.g., MS65, PR70) in your search for the best match.

Are prices real-time?

Current spot price of the chosen metal is obtained when a product is fetched. PCGS price guide values are updated daily or weekly.

Do I need an account to use the calculator?

No. Guests can use it with a quick Turnstile check; signed-in users skip the check.
